Have you heard? The Island of Corfu might be the hottest wedding destination for 2022! We were so excited to hear the news that our island ranks among the most sought-after locations for luxury weddings and well… knowing how gorgeous our land is we can’t blame any opulence-seeking bride and groom if they’ve already pinned Corfu on top of their destination wedding list. As a team of premium Corfu wedding planners we’ve been for years locking the perfect venues for our beloved clients, and this season was no different. In fact, one of our newest venues unlocked its gates for the first time and our adored Sara & Andrew were the first to ever say I do in its magical premises.

SARA & ANDREW’S CORFU LUXURY VENUE

Villa Ekaterini is one of those incredible villas on Corfu island whose beauty will stop you right in your tracks. Privately owned by a distinguished art historian, art critic & collector family of Londoners who -just like many celebrities owning villas in Corfu- used to spend their languid summers in its opulent grounds, Ekaterini Estate is a massive property dotted with spiral gardens & topiaries, prestigious constructions such as terracotta-hued arched fountains and gates to match the facade of the main villa.
The manor itself, a round-shaped two-story architectural beauty with Italian style balconies, checkered floors, rare marble baths, and Provence-style kitchens, includes a spacious drawing room with an impressive marble fireplace, an elegant octagonal dining room, and a lovely card and sitting room, as well as luxe art-clad living spaces and immaculate, manicured lawns that ooze elegance.
Complete with a pool, a Loggia, a crescent front terrace, a floodlit tennis court, a Moroccan style hammam, and many more it was the dreamiest choice for Sara & Andrew’s luxury microwedding.

SARA & ANDREW’S CORFU WEDDING DESIGN

Our bride and groom adore punchy colors and their dream was to throw a lavish celebration for their most loved family and friends. We suggested that they set the ceremony in the back of the garden so that the stunning views of Gastouri and the Ionian would lay at their feet.

Their circular arch was placed before the shrubberies where we created a special white-velvet-carpeted deck.

Leonidas Rammos, our couple’s florist, envisioned an aisle of white with shrubs of coral peonies overgrowing on each side, while delicate peach roses, hellebores, pincushion proteas, and hibiscus Calophyllum completed the floral design. The impressive coral peonies also dominated the tablescapes where tall glass vases filled with large arrangements complemented poetic centerpieces. Hanging chandeliers wrapped with greenery added to the luxurious feel of the reception – a wonderful match with white pillar candles placed on glass candleholders.

Love Me Do craft our couple’s botanical invites and menus drawing inspiration from the floral design and the bride and groom’s favorite colors. For the art de la table we worked with Corfu Catering Rentals and chose grey damask table-cloths and napkins close to the color scheme of the tiles on the crescent terrace, diaphanous gold-rimmed chargers, and gold-rimmed dishes, bell-shaped carved crystal glassware, and golden cutlery, while ghost seating completed the scene.
We set the cake cutting table in the middle of the little amphitheater on the side garden, a round, damask-cloth dressed table, topped with candles, while a color-changing bar was set right across so that the guests could easily head for cocktails right between the ceremony, the cake-cutting, and dinner.

Everything rolled seamlessly for this amazing couple, from the exchange of their vows, and their touching ceremony, to the reception dinner and the fabulous party right after. We were so incredibly lucky to have Sandy & Odysseas Photography capture the bliss, and so deeply grateful for such a sweet and heartwarming relationship with our couple. We won’t forget the laughs, the happy tears, the embraces, their words, and above all how endearing were their words of gratitude for planning their Corfu wedding. Come next summer we’re expecting them back to toast on their first anniversary!
